Zion Ratchford's Leukemia Battle

Donation protected
Zion was diagnosed with T-cell Leukemia (ALL) on October 27th. In the first week alone, he has needed a bone marrow biopsy, numerous blood tests, xrays, a spinal tap,  chemotherapy and other medications, kidney dialysis, blood transfusions, and more. He will remain admitted to the hospital for at least four weeks in this initial stage. Then, the fight continues for the predicted treatment course over the next two and a half years, according to the doctors.  Zion is a fun-loving, quirky fifteen year old boy who loves Funko Pop figures, Pez dispensers, comic books,  Taekwondo, random songs from the 1970's and old TV shows. He graduated eighth grade from St. Elizabeth School and is proud to be a sophomore at Fr. McGivney High School. His father Ben is the pastor of Champions Community Church and his mother is a fourth-grade teacher at St. Elizabeth School. His two younger sisters love him and can't wait until he can come home again. This discovery of cancer in a seemingly healthy teenager has shocked his family and friends.  We all want to know what we can do to help.  As his aunt, I am setting up this Go Fund Me page because I know that so many people love Zion and his family and desire to assist them during this difficult season of life. We are believing in God's power to heal (both miraculously and through Zion's medical team). We believe in God's power to provide for all their needs. We also know that God uses people to do His will on this earth.  If you feel led to help out Zion and his family, we first and foremost ask that you pray for his healing and for peace and provision for his whole family. In addition, if you would like to bless them financially, please donate whatever you are able to contribute.  Numerous expenses are incurred when you have a child battling cancer, including hospital stays, medications/chemotherapy, gas/travel, meals/food, and more. Income is reduced through missed work days.  I know that all of the friends and family members would love to be able to take the financial worry from Zion's parents and allow them to focus solely on helping him beat this cancer. Please share this page on your social media accounts! If we work together, God can use our donations (however large or small) to do mighty things! Thank you so much for your kindness  and generosity! God bless you!
