Zombie Kitty Needs New Face

Donation protected

This past Halloween we were visited by a Real Zombie! On Sunday the 28th of October , while sitting on our porch, this poor destroyed kitty wandered up our stairs howling for love and help. She looked like she was missing half of her face, and we quickly acted to get her to PVSEC emergency animal clinic. It is here that she was cleaned up and we were told that she had a broken jaw and a split upper palate, as well as an intense infection and blood-filled right eye. The Dr. told us that she had a very likely chance of survival, and it is this information that caused us to take the chance to save her.  As we were denied for CareCredit to fund her surgeries which were quoted at about $4000 before any blood tests were done, we took her home. Our Friends at The Big Easy Animal Hospital would have to have a look the next day... and that’s exactly what happened.  Dr. Thornton at TBEAH was confident she could fix the lower jaw, but had never operated on an injury to the upper palate to this degree, aaaand with our friend Metal Mary Bielich touting praises for the absolute miracles that have been performed at Frankie’s Friends Animal Rescue, coupled with the fact that we still didn’t have the funds, we went with plan C! All of the Dr’s and Techs along the way thanked us... for giving a shit.. for trying... and so we  kept on. On Devil’s Night (day)...Tues the 30th, Metal Mary came to our garage hospice and transported “Zombie” to Frankie’s Friends non-profit animal rescue... which is where she is now and will stay for a number of weeks. Zombie has undergone 3 surgeries so far, with a few more to go. There has been no talk of cost... they’re just fixing her.. seemingly regardless..  This fund raiser is aimed to pay for any costs involved in Zombies’ full recovery, and if we collect more than the cost, ALL OVERAGE will go directly to Frankie’s Friends in New Kensington Pa for the amazing and miraculous work they do to save animals and the “save first, ask questions later” attitude they’ve shown.

sidenote: we have found out that Zombie is an FIV cat, and will need to find a forever home that can accommodate her unique needs once she has recovered. We will be updating this campaign as often as possible to keep backers in the loop as to how she is doing. Bless you and your kind soul for every dime, every share, every like, and for reading this to the end. ❤️❤️
