Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to check out the #FreedomNeedsWheels FUNDRAISER.
My name is Shea Freedom I am a performer, educator & activist.
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
It is my souls desire to continue to employ music as means of destroying shame. Shame has become synonymous with being a foster youth. I hope to persist as a beacon in striking down the fear of being black and identifying as a member of transgender community in America. I am a member of all 3 communities and I refuse to promote anything except, Growth, Love, Acceptance & Determination.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
I hope you will uplift this mission to obtain a van or RV by November 2018. This will enable me a place to heal this winter and in 2019 will provide a way for my band and I to stay on tour longer, and reach more remote places such, as reservations and small LGBTQ communities in rural areas across the nation.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE FUNDRAISER?
With this new set of wheels, we hope to embark on the 2019 "2 the Center Tour" Our Journey will take us coast to coast from LGBT Centers in California, all the way to New York. Along the way we will be hosting concerts, leading workshops and having fun with you during meet ups along the way.
WHY #FreedomNeedsWheels?
On 11.22.2015 I was hit by an SUV at 75 mph on my motorcycle. I can't believe I survived! Only 3 months later I was touring again because, well this is my gift, my job, my love, and my life.
2019 & BEYOND
I hope to use these wheels far into the future as a mobile recording studio from which I can capture and uplift the beautiful voices and stories of those I meet on the road for free! What better way to be of service to those I meet?
