Pedro's fight for life

Donation protected
Pedro, 25 years old, turns 26 on April 13th, he being one semester away from graduating as a psychologist. He had been working as an intern for two school/hospitals serving poor families with physiological assistance, plus he worked part time on the side.

On March 10h, Pedro's parents dropped him off  at a place he was to meet with friends. As Pedro stepped into the street to cross, he was hit by a car driven by a 23 year old man. Pedro was thrown a great distance from the impact, having been seriously injured. Unfortunately the driver drove away and the family watched the whole thing

Pedro received help from his parents and some other loving people close by . He miraculously survived the accident, brain surgery among other procedures, meningitis and pneumonia he caught while in the hospital's ICU! Even though Pedro is in a Coma the doctors are insisting that he leaves the hospital because they feel the risks of further infection are too high.

For Pedro to go home, there needs to be hospital equipment provided plus some home renovation. Pedro's health insurance will provide some of the equipment, services and medicines needed during this period, but the parents will need an additional $ amount to prepare the house to receive Pedro plus additional monthly services not provided by the insurance (and I just realized that this might be for the rest of his life).

I, being Pedro's aunt, see him as a loving, happy fellow with a caring heart and a smile on his face, who has admirably fought for his life. He moves around a little his heart beat skyrockets when he hears us talking about him ❤️ and even bit grandma when she was trying to clean his mouth !! The doctors cannot explain how he is still alive, but the fact is that he is.

Pedro needs our financial help to bring him home to heal. We do not know how long it will take nor do we know what his state will be thereafter. In talking with my sister, Pedro's mother, she says she is "there to serve Pedro".. that gives her the comfort and hope she needs to move on and give up on so many other things. Are you willing to help Pedro and his mother in their quest for life?
