Funeral for Silvano
Donation protected
On Thursday, June 14th, 24-year-old Silvano Escobar Velasquez, suddenly started to vomit, could no longer swallow or breath collapsed at home and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His mother had just gone through the trauma of learning that her only daughter was one of the 114 undocumented workers swept up in the Corso’s raid in Erie County just one short week before his collapse. Silvano had been healthy up to this point, and the family is still not sure what caused his death.
His mother describes her son as a timid, kind-hearted, young man who was always helpful to others. He was kind and gentle, a good son who always worked to help his mother. But now, because of the raids, Silvano’s mother and brother have both lost their jobs and have no way of paying for his funeral. Please help us help this family give this loving son and brother the funeral he deserves by donating now.

UPDATE!! We have been in touch with the funeral home, and thanks to your generosity have been able to pay a portion of the bill, but we still have more to raise. The funeral home has cut their costs to a bare minimum, to help the family, but we still need you! Please help us reach our goal by sharing this with your friends and family. Silvano's family needs us now.
