      Hi. My name is Kathie and I'm a hopeless romantic. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but there is no cure for it. My hopes and dreams were wrapped up in fairy tales, as with most young girls, only to discover they didn't actually exist. It was heart breaking.
     My constant search for this elusive happiness lead me through deep, dark valleys. I felt alone and rejected at times, but found hope in the pages of the Bible, and all God placed around me, realizing that 'Happily EVER After' may not exist, but 'Happily EVEN After' might, if I chose to take hold of it. 
    After much failure, I found comfort and healing as I poured my heart out onto secret pages of my daily journal. One day, I began sharing parts of my story on social media, hoping to encourage others. I never could have imagined how many were experiencing the same struggle, looking for the same answers. Not only women, but men too. 
      So, my pen and paper began a relationship that day, and the Happily Even After project was born.  As it opened up old wounds, and refreshed old memories, it began to heal me, and restore my hope. It allowed me to find happiness in the most unexpected places. 
     I want to share my extraordinary journey with others, but I need your help! I can't do this alone. I have found in order to accomplish much, much is required, and much I do not have. 
     Many today have a GoFundMe or Kickstarter account for everything from pets to major worldwide causes, all with the best intentions. It's hard asking for help and it's extremely hard asking for the green kind, ie. money. But, asking for help is certainly easier than authoring this book that has taken me four years.
      It may not feed the hungry or house the homeless, but I think it will help many who may feel they've lost all hope for true happiness. It is my prayer that my struggle will encourage, challenge and inspire you to find true joy that only comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ.

What is Happily Even After anyway?

Excerpt, Happily Even After, Conclusion: 
       "It is the destined journey between one rather ordinary Prince Charming and one Cinderella Wannabe who seek their very own fairy tale side by side. It is about rebuilding the castle over and over again. It’s finding out who each other is and to whom we belong. It is about letting someone love you, not forcing it, keeping the fire, passion and struggle alive, through adversity when it finds you. It is about mutual trust and unconditional love that require sacrifice. It is in the covenant itself.

     It’s also about the covenant between you and God. It isn’t necessarily finding someone, but the joy inside your own heart. It’s realizing you aren’t broken because your life doesn’t match up to the ideal you set, or others set for you. You don’t need fixing, or tweaking because your life turned out different than you planned. It's profoundly yours, and yours alone to live.

     Happily Even After is being happy even after you fail miserably. It’s being able to find happiness even after great loss, grief, and a trip through the valley of the shadow of death.

      I may not have found my Prince Charming, and you may still be searching for your ideal, but if we trust God, and learn to find happiness in unexpected places, it’s there we can all find our Happily Even After."
