Rae’s Transition Fund

hi, i'm rae, and i'm a jewish trans woman from the uk, soon moving to the united states. this is my only chance at living my own life.

the uk is not a safe place to be trans, openly or otherwise. i have been waiting almost nine years for any medical help, and have gotten nowhere fast; as of writing this, it's been more than five years since my gender clinic referral, and i have heard nothing.
coupled with the fact i have no family that is willing to support me, the abuse i have received from others, and a transphobic media and government willing to demonise trans people at every given opportunity, i cannot live as myself without fearing for my life. i am uprooting my entire life to live with my trusted and beloved friends in the states, who have been gracious enough to open their home up to me.

this fundraiser covers both my FFS and bottom surgery, as well as the legal fees that will almost certainly arise as a result of all this.
i am disabled and as of yet a full-time student, so raising this money on my own is impossible.
