Help Curtis Roberts Gain His Independence

Curtis Roberts was sentenced to 50 years to life, under the three strikes law, for committing three non-violent robberies. Curtis served a total of 24 years in prison. While imprisoned he lost his wife and daughter, was raped, and assaulted. Former Governor Brown commutated his sentence last December, and Curtis is now living in San Francisco California in a government funded non-profit in a program for the formerly incarcerated.
I first heard of Curtis’ life on the Podcast Hear Hustle, and his story moved me to tears. The episode is linked https://www.earhustlesq.com/episodes/2017/9/27/left-behind His story has also been covered by E.S.P.N. sports magazine, and HBO’s real sports with Bryant Gumble. PBS featured him in their Prop.57 airing and Ted Koppel interviewed Curtis at San Quentin for the Sunday morning CBS show.
Curtis recently reached out to me and others via IG for financial assistance. He is trying to get back on his feet and regain his independence. Any amount of money, as small as it may seem, will help. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and for your consideration. God Bless
