Help Fix My Broke Down Car

I have an 1999 model Ford car that I have been nursing along for about 5 years. Last year my friends contributed over $1500 to replace the transmission for which I am very grateful.
But now it needs some more work, some O2 sensors and an unknown amount to get the car to pass inspection. I am afraid to take it in to see about the repairs because of the expense I cannot really afford right now.
If I can pull together about $500 I hope I can cover it and get it to quit stalling out at traffic lights., and avoid getting a $150 ticket for the expired (6 months) sticker.
I need the car to get to the part time jobs I am working to get by. I will give away any money beyond what is necessary for the car.
