New years eve was not a celebration for our family, my cousin the most-

On the 30th of December in the evening after celebrating her sister's 4th birthday her daughter aubree who is 5 was tired and fell asleep. She awoke to the beginning of a nightmare not long after when she was screaming her head hurts, she then went paralysed on one side and couldn't stand or talk. She was having a stroke. Her poor sister Violet witnessed all of this and was very distressed as well.
She was rushed to hospital in an ambulance and after brain scans were done it became their worst nightmare. Aubree had lots of damage to her brain old and new, evidence of mulitiple strokes and bleeds on the brain in the past, an aneurysim on her brain, Unusually smaller than normal arteries and nerves that are too small in her brain on both sides, her brain was inflamed, There is a lot of fluid on her brain which is causing pressure and swelling behind her eyes that is putting her in a lot of pain, an area where there was a blockage of the blood vessels and blood flow. The family was then told that they have no idea what it is and have never seen so much going on in one brain before. They were surprised that she was able to stand and function with the amount of damage to her brain and they don't know if they can treat it. They kept apologizing to the family. She was then transferred to the Perth Children's hospital.

Aubree has had other incidents like this on and off since she was one. Weeks of vomiting and painful migraines and headaches, collapsing, hospital stays where her mum was always told they don't know what it is and once the symptoms had subsided she was sent home with no more investigation. My cousin was begging for a brain scan since aubree was three when she was floppy and couldn’t speak properly but was sent away with Panadol and a diagnosis of gastro. She had lots of other tests done on her even allergy testing and changed her diet removing dairy and gluten thinking it may have been that but sadly it wasn't.

And so it begins, the worst possible outcome the type you read about and think wow that’s so sad but it will never happen to me,

And I wish I could tell you this was just the saddest piece of fiction writing you have ever heard but this is what my cousin is living right now. New Year’s Day.

Yeah happy 2019.

My cousin is a devoted mother she was never meant to be anything more then she was meant to be a mother.

She used to dress her cat up when we were kids that is how much she wanted a baby.

She has three children and is a devoted mother, not one that is just good in front of people she literally gives these kids the best possible happiest life I have ever seen. Her children are so happy so content so beautiful.

Aubree's parents are both only 25 years old. There are the two girls (Aubree and her 4 year old sister Violet. Her mum's having to stay in the hospital overnight with her 3 month old breastfed baby as well. We're just trying to do everything we can to help them so that they don’t have to worry about hospital parking, accommodations, petrol, work, rent, food or anything other then what is happening to their child. If you can find it in your heart to donate even if it's just a samll amount you would be tremendously helping this family in their nightmare.

Aubree is literally the sweetest child I have ever known, I’m not just saying this under the circumstances. She has not one bad bone in her body. She is very loved at kinder and always comes home and says things like “mummy this person was being really mean to this person today they aren’t nice, it’s ok I gave them a hug to make them feel better. “ I’m not kidding this little soul is that sweet at this age

I don’t know how I’m typing this or how does this happen ?! Why her?

If you have a child hug them a little tighter.
