Matt has been diagnosed with a very rare variant of bladder cancer, microcystic urothelial carcinoma. The 5 year survival rate for his stage 4 diagnosis is only about 10%. Although the prognosis isn't great, his attitude towards the fight he's facing is excellent! He's not afraid, and you better believe he's going "hands-on" as usual! He's got a tough road ahead with three main goals: to remain healthy, to continue to take care of his family of 6, and to remain an active member of the Davidson County Sheriff's Department Patrol and K-9 Unit. 
We made it through our daughter Kayla's battle with her cancer 2 short years ago with minimal financial help. Unfortunately, we're in a bit of a different situation this time which will involve travel expenses, missed work, and uncovered medical expenses. We're humbly asking for help for our family.
