In Loving Memory of Donna Penkava
Donation protected
My mom was a kind, brave, fierce woman who lived life to the fullest. She fought and won her battle with cancer several times, showing all of us just how tough she really was. She was also gentle and caring with her pets (she loved animals), her 5 grandchildren - Kameron, Kennedy, and Trent Wacker and Mackenzie and
Mason Fisher - and with everyone she met. On March 4th she left us on Earth to wait for us in Heaven.
**We have been so fortunate with the outpouring of support and are happy to share that ALL money collected will be donated in Mom's name to the charity chosen by her oncology nurses to help fund research to cure cancer once and for all. We can't thank you all enough for everything during this difficult time.
Thank you very much for your generosity and support.
Update: We want to share with everyone the level of courage our mother had. One of her last wishes was to donate her body to science, she wanted them to find out why she was able to go as long as she did and potentially give others the opportunity at more time with their loved ones. Unfortunately that was a wish best completed by her because we have no way to know now exactly what she had in mind. So we talked about it and she had 4 nurses who did her chemo treatments and they adored her as much as we did and she loved them back. So we thought it would make her happy if we let those nurses pick this charity. I will go out tomorrow and make contact with them and break the news about mom and tell them what we want to do, and then I will post an update about what they decide. Thank you all again for everything. We can’t tell you how much this means to us.
