Jaja's Final Year Tuition Fees.

Donation protected
Thank you for your interest in my campaign to raise funds for my final year tuition fees.

Summary: I was sponsored by the Rivers State Government of Nigeria on a scholarship to study at the University of Sussex in England. In my second year, my sponsors failed to fulfil their financial commitments to me and abandoned me. It has now been over one year since I graduated and they still have not paid my final year fees and as a result of that, the university has refused to release my certificate and/or transcript to me. My life has been on pause since then because without my degree certificate, I am unable to take advantage of opportunities I ordinarily qualify for. Please help me clear this debt.

In 2012, I was awarded a scholarship by the Rivers State Government under the 2012 / 2013 Governor’s Special Overseas Undergraduates Scholarship Programme. I was one of the 160 successful candidates out of 12,404 applicants.

After successfully completing my A'levels programme, I arrived the UK in September 2013 to begin my undergraduate studies. As can be seen in the image attached below, the Rivers State Government was responsible for my tuition and maintenance. They stopped releasing my maintenance allowances in January 2015 and failed to pay my final year fees.

The image below was the last official communication from the Rivers State Government and they still promised to clear the debts.

While at university, I excelled academically and otherwise. I graduated with a second class (upper division) and received awards from societies and clubs. I was also nominated for an award for my outstanding contribution to student representation in the Students' Union.

I graduated over a year ago and since then, I have not been able to undergo the one year compulsory National Youth Service Corp because I need to have my certificate for that. I have also been unable to apply for scholarships for my postgraduate studies.

Please help me clear this debt and make progress with my life by donating as much or as little as you can.

Thank you.
