Brownville's Food Pantry For Deer

My father has thoroughly enjoyed feeding deer for 17+ years. The first 10+ years my father lived in Medford, Maine.  He has gone from putting out 20lbs to 350lbs of oats per day throughout the winter.  A few bad winters over the last decade have  deminished the deer population! 

When moving to Brownville my dad continued to do what he loves to do, feed the deer.  Within a week, there were 20 deer coming for dinner. My dad had to adjust the amount of oats to  adequately feed the deer.  A month later there was 40-50 deer coming.  7 years later my dad has over 130 (hard to count the exact amount). Each deer requires 3-4 pounds of oats to sustain their health. We are asking for your support in helping this very dedicated man help the deer survive another winter.

For the past 17 years my family has had the pleasure of watching the deer play and run. Seeing my dad's happiness though doing such a kind and selfless act is something we all  cherish.

The oats are purchased locally, supporting Maine business.  This year over $6000 worth of oats were purchased.  All donations will go towards the purchase of oats.
