The “Fabulous Five” made it to Odyssey World Finals in Michigan and back again! Thank you also to Coach Lisa who led and encouraged our team through this experience. The team had a wonderful time! Not only was it an exciting experience for them to have the opportunity to compete with Odyssey teams from around the world, but they also were able to participate in opening and closing ceremonies, pin trading, float and banner parade, creativity festival and spontaneous competition.

We did it! The Lyman Moore Middle School 7th Grade Odyssey of the Mind team placed high enough in both the Regional and then the State of Maine competitions in order to qualify to now be on our way to Michigan State University for the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals May 19- 23, 2015!
This is a wonderful and exciting opportunity for us to be representing our fabulous Lyman Moore Middle School, our fantastic Greater Portland area and our great State of Maine!
This is truly an international event. We will have the opportunity to meet, interact with and compete against teams from all around the world. We will meet teams from as close as our Canadian neighbors to as far away as Japan and China. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we can’t wait to get to Michigan and show the rest of the world what we can do!
Jena, Savvy, Lorien, Sarah, Lexi, Emily and Emmalyn, have worked hard and had a lot of fun making a "Silent Movie" as part of the solution to their assigned problem.
As a team we are now working on various projects and activities in order to raise funds to put toward the cost of going to Michigan.
Here’s how you can help! Your donations will help us with the cost of lodging, food, airfare and related competition fees for the team members and a coach as well as the cost for shipping our props.
Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated! This is a common fund that will be used by the team members and a coach to help us defray the cost.
