Mya Calderon, 11 years old

The purpose of this gofund me is to assist in funeral expenses for Mya Calderon. She was only 11 years old. Her mother, Melissa, is my friend.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”-Matthew 19:14

Additionally, funds leftover can be used towards the healing process of this family for any time they need to miss work or etc to grieve. Further, I plan to recommend the creation of a support group by Melissa so she may heal with other mothers that can relate to her pain. It is my hope that she and her family also receive therapy to help to cope. Funds could assist with that, too. 

Thank you in advance for your support of Melissa. The experience and feelings she must be enduring can only be imagined, but let's all stand with her and her family in support and love. No amount is too small. And no mother should even have to concern herself with funds for her own child's funeral, whether she already has it or not. Instead, let's carry this burden on her behalf. Let's demonstrate the depth of our hearts for this innocent child.

Even strangers have been contacting her friends to say I prayed for her but I want to do more. Those thoughts and messages are also what sparked the idea for this page. 

I have added Melissa as a beneficiary. Funds will be withdrawn by Melissa and provided 100% to Melissa.
