Nick's Foreclosure Emergency Fund

hi, my name is Nick Throckmorton

at this time i am experiencing one of the scariest things a person can go through financially: my house is being foreclosed

earlier this year, my father passed away, he had named me as executor to his estate, and besides the myriad of bills and outstanding credit card debts he left behind, there was also an over $18,000 mortgage debt

the problem...his life insurance was not enough to cover both the mortgage and the bills for the forseeable future for the house as well as food for myself; i sadly was forced to choose between them; i am also disabled by the way, i'm physically unable to work, but i've been denied by SSI as well, so that insurance money was my only lifeline

and even worse, my mother (who i'm estranged from and prefer to spend as little time around due to things she's done to me in the past) and brother managed to wring $9500 of the life insurance money out of me and in my weakness i let them, fearing conflict

now, the mortgage company has filed with the court to foreclose on my house, and i have little money left to even buy food or pay my utilities

i already know i'm going to lose the house, i've made peace with that; i'm not going to ask anyone to pay the mortgage for me

but i've got a lifeline, a close friend of mine is willing to let me move in with them until i can get back on my feet financially

the only problem? they can't take me in until the end of february when their work time stabilizes and they can get lodging off their work grounds (they work for a major themepark)

so i'm asking for a little help to keep me afloat until then

hopefully, the court won't immediately evict me, if that is the case i merely have to pay bills and keep food in my cupboards

if they do force me out, i'm hoping to find a place that will let me and my two cats stay for however long i need to, be it one month or two

to that end, i'm asking for $5000 to cover my outstanding bills (as i have quite a few overdue, without a means to pay them), as well as cover my bills and expenses until february when i can finally get out from under the weight of the looming foreclosure

the money would go towards expenses and rent if i do get forced out by the courts
