Palmquist Elementary Farm 18-19

At Palmquist Elementary, we wish to raise money to help maintain and continue building our farming program. Amazing and knowledgeable farm teacher implements lessons about all aspects of farming such as photosynthesis, plant cycle, parts of a plant, parts of a seed, what is soil, parts of a tree, insects in the garden, weed/plant identification, garden routines, measurement, area/perimeter, essential nutrients for plant growth. Students also learn about drip irrigation and the importance of water conservation .  Also teaching about good nutrition and particular vitamins/minerals available in various fruits and vegetables. Also students learn about aquaponic and hydroponic farming practices .   Students are also engaged in various garden projects for hands experiences.   Your contribution is greatly appreciated and it will allow us to expand our program to continue educating children about the importance of gardening while gaining an appreciation for nature.
