Help Build the Peoples Assembly Process in New Orleans
Greetings friends,
Growing out of our successful mobilization of more than 5000 people on January 20 in New Orleans, our progressive coalition of more than 100 organizations and individuals decided to continue our fight by convening a Peoples Assembly on June 3, 2017.
At this assembly, working class women and men of all nationalities, who want a more equal and democratic New Orleans will deliberate our current situation which is dominated by the rich white ruling class and produce a Peoples Agenda outlining our vision for our future and the program that we will fight for in the coming years.
We have chosen to unite our separate struggles into one Peoples Assembly that will lend support to all our progressive struggles in New Orleans.
Our Peoples Assembly organizing is making great strides. Over 150 volunteer organizers are actively on the ground organizing distributing thousands of notices toward the Peoples Assembly. We have also opened an office in a Black working class neighborhood.
We are asking for your help so that we can make the Peoples assembly a success. Won’t you help us build the resistance movement in New Orleans?
