Donation protected
On Friday May 24th, 2019 we lost our beloved Joi Nicole Spencer at the young age of 36. She was born on October 16th 1982 in Jacksonville Florida and was well known throughout this community for her generous spirit and loving personality. Her smile could light up a room and her nurturing disposition was felt by all who had the opportunity to meet her. She was always singing and enjoyed cooking with her husband for their family catering business, J&K Kitchen. She loved to travel and spent a lot of time in Jamaica which she considered to be her second home.
Joi was intelligent and excelled in math. She studied accounting at the University of South Florida and worked as a consultant at Davenport Business Services for approximately 10 years. She was devoted to her job and strived for perfection in all of her endeavors. She was very excited about becoming a mother and felt exceptionally blessed to conceive Kai.
She will forever be remembered by her laughter, green eyes, and her love for life. She leaves behind a grieving husband Kamion Spencer, newborn son Kai Spencer, mother, Debra Curry, father Fernando Curry, paternal grandmother Harriett Cade, sisters Shontavia Curry, Kaila George, Danielle Gabay-Curry, Alexa Gabay-Curry, brothers Mario Gabay-Curry, Jason Gabay-Curry, Tijani Gabay-Curry, niece Adriahnna Curry, favorite cousin Tia Covington, pet Frosty, and a host of family and friends.
