Help Us Stop Bullycide

Donation protected
Bullycide is suicide caused by bullying. Children and teens who are bullied live in a constant state of fear and confusion in their lives. Many feel the only way to escape the rumors, insults, verbal abuse and terror is to take their own life.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death
among young people, resulting in about 4,400 deaths per year.

A study in Britain found that at least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying.

According to statistics reported by ABC News, nearly 30 percent of students are either bullies or victims of bullying, and 160,000 kids stay home from school every day because of fear of bullying.

These are just a few of the horrifying statistics surrounding the connection between bullying and suicide amongst young children.
This is mainly due to the lack of support and guidance currently available, for both parents and students on this issue.

Parents are often either unaware of the warning signs, or know there's a problem but don't know how to resolve it. Young children are in fear of speaking out and getting help, so resort to taking their own lives as result. We want to change that.

Our aim is to provide students who are affected by bullying and their parents, with information and resources to help them cope and feel safe again. We want to ensure that if a child feels unsafe and alone as a result of bullying, they always have somewhere to turn for support and advice.

In the first instance, we want to create a website, which acts as a port of call for parents to access help and support for their children at risk of bullycide, and also be able to support other parents going through the same thing. This includes mental health information, a directory for local tutors if the child doesn't feel safe attending school and a forum for parents to speak to others in a similar situation.

In order to get the website up and running, we are asking you to donate as much as you can to help fund the following expenses: a website, web hosting, introductory video, parent forum, tutor directory, and counselling support involving how to deal with childhood depression.

Too many children are losing hope and their suffering is going unnoticed until it's too late.

Please give today so that these children can get the support that they need.

Your donation could potentially save a life.
