Sun Awning in Memory of Bill Rolfe

One of my Dad's greatest joys in life was enriching peoples lives by making sure communities had the infrastructure and resources to run efficiently and smoothly. Every so often a particular project would cross his desk and we would be able to tell it was really something he was excited and passionate about. In his most recent position as Town Manager in Glasgow, VA my Dad was in the process of building a brand new Farmer's Market that he was so proud of.  As it stands the beautiful new structure accommodates 10 vendors in stalls and is complete with electricity. However, it has been such a success in the community already there are plans for expansion and it is still in need of a few more additions. First on the list is an extended sun awning to help shade the vendors and patrons as they visit the market each week on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. 

We know that Dad would have loved to see this project that was so special to him through to completion. To help him achieve this last mission we would love to collect funds in his memory to help the town raise the new awning at the Farmer's Market.  We hope to add a plaque in his memory and this will be a special place that our family can visit and remember Dad with pride and joy.

Please consider donating whatever resonates with you in lieu of sending flowers. We would love to meet the goal but plan to donate all of the funds raised regardless, as well, any money raised beyond the goal will be donated to the James River Association which would also mean so much to Dad.
