Finish the build of the kitchen

Donation protected

Nestled between vacant lots and old buildings, a new community art space and garden is coming into bloom. With this fundraiser, we hope to transform nine vacant lots into a self-sustaining gathering space for artists, gardeners, and community members alike. The aim of the Open Kitchen Sculpture Garden is to create art, unity, health, community involvement and overall wellbeing. Currently, our space hosts drum circles, pot lucks, live music, open gardening, events and more. Since this is a community-run sanctuary, we are raising funds to build the community kitchen and warrior goddess statue head - an art piece made of repurposed waste and cement.

First, we will be cleaning the lots and use the existing trash to create multifunctional sculpture, which will help create a unique and distinct gathering space. Located at the 2200 of Philip Street, the central focus of the project will be creating a rustic, circular outdoor kitchen that will serve as a multipurpose space to educate, prepare and serve delicious food - often sourced right from the garden! The project and garden are built to be inclusive and collaborative, so please join us by contributing funds or time to help make our community space and mission a reality! -being. Where the principles are leave no trace , teach, share learn. Hosting drum circles potlucks and live music.  We are raising money to finishe building the kitchen and canopy and the warrior goddess statue head. The project will take place on the 2200 block of Philip Street.

The initial task is clean up of the lots using existing trash to create multi -functional sculptures, that will serve to make a unique and distinct gathering space. The central focus of the project will be the construction of a rustic circular kitchen that will serve as a multi-purpose space to prepare, educate and share food and experiences. The whole construction and layout of the space is meant to be collaborative and inclusive.
