Greece Wildfire relief aid: Replant

Donation protected
Latest Update: The Municipality of Rafina is currently responding to emergencies together with volunteers. Our request has been added to the list and we'll get in contact again by end of next week. We do understand that houses and families come first and we’ll patiently wait until most have been fixed.

Hot summers are not uncommon in Greece which make wildfires even more dangerous.

The cause of the latest tragedy is not clear and an Athens prosecutor ordered an investigation into it. More than 85 people have died and dozens are still missing.

Until justice rolls down, we hold the power.

Together with tree nurseries we'll do our best to replant a small forest in the area of Mati.

We need your help! Please donate or spread the word.

This fundraising is set-up by Stefanos Constantinou who's based in the Netherlands.

All updates, expenses and receipts will be uploaded here. This is a non-profit campaign.

We've have been in contact with the president of Athens Forest Association (Philodassiki) and  they are willing to help execute our idea. According to law we first need to get permission from the Municipality of Rafina which we're in close contact. Once that's done, together with Philodassiki we'll come up with a plan.

The Foundation "Philodassiki Enossi Athinon" was founded in 1899 in Athens. Its main object was the reforestation of derelict (fallow) land, the encouragement of forest-lovers and the protection of the natural environment.
