Adero Learns Arabic With Your Help

Dear Family and Friends (the Village),
We hope this note finds you well. What an amazing 2014-2015 school year this has been!! Adero (14) in particular has had a very productive and successful year. She won first place in the Senior category of the high school science fair qualifying her for the Prince George's County Science Fair. She also won first place in the Senior Documentary Category of the Prince George's National History Day competition and qualified to go to the state competition. Adero has also maintain straight A's this year and earned the President's Award for Excellence!
To keep up this level of intensity Adero applied for and was accepted to attend VAMPY (The Summer Program for Verbally and Mathematically Precocious Youth) at Western Kentucky University's Center for Gifted Studies on June 21-July 11, 2015. During this three-week residential summer program Adero will be studying Arabic. Adero won a $1,400 scholarship award to assist with the cost of the program. We need your help to raise the remaining $1,660 that she'll need to attend. The basic registration fee is $2,700 which includes room and board, the instructional program, books and activities. Then there is $660 in travel expeneses & incidentals as well. Whether you can contribute $5 or $50 every little bit will help us to get Adero to Kentucky for this special summer program.
