The Sickle Cell Society

This fundraising has been coming for a long time,  I lost a close friend to sickle cell and i would like  the whole country to know what Sickle Cell is and unless we act it will be here to stay.  

I have decided  to conduct a formal seated, black tie charity event on Sickle Cell awareness; the aim of this event is to raise awareness on sickle cell disorder by educating people in depth whith the assistance of entertainment. The Sickle Cell Soiree will be an evening of elegance, enjoyable astmosphere but most importantly a room overfilled with knowledge.

What is Sickle Cell?

Sickle cell anaemia is an inherited form of anaemia — a condition in which there aren't enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen throughout your body. Periodic episodes of pain, called crises, are a major symptom of sickle cell anaemia. Pain develops when sickle-shaped red blood cells block blood flow through tiny blood vessels to your chest, abdomen and joints. Pain can also occur in your bones.
 
All funds raised will be donated to the Sickle Cell Society.
