'17 Mexico Earthquake Relief
We are a group of Kellogg MBA students trying to raise funds for our home country, Mexico.
Sep 19th, 2017. Mexico suffered from a major earthquake.
By midday, the death toll remained at 227 people, according to the Mexican Civil Defense Agency and estimates by Mexico City’s mayor.
In an elementary school, twenty-five bodies had been pulled from the rubble, 21 of them children, Mexico’s Education Minister Aurelio Nuño said. Local media said 28 had died. At least three others, possibly more, remained trapped.
Mexico is fighting back to recover and needs help. We need funds ASAP. The funds will be donated to a charity in Mexico dedicated to help during natural disasters.
I will personally transfer the funds to Fundacion Carlos Slim, which will donate 5mxn for each 1 mxn we donate. For more info: http://fundacioncarlosslim.org.
Thanks very much! Muchas Gracias!
