Wilson Crew home of the Men's Varsity 8+ 2019 SRAA National Champions!!
In conjunction with Wilson Crew 's 35th Anniversary in 2020, the Wilson Crew Booster Executive Committee has launched a Capital Campaign to achieve our vision of a nationally-ranked public high school rowing team that reflects the diversity of the nation’s capital. Please click Read More to see the case for your support and the donor recognition levels.
BACKGROUND
Wilson High School is proud to be the only DC public school to field a rowing team. Our belief in the power of rowing to teach discipline, teamwork, and time-management began 35 years ago and has grown every year since. Today 125 students participate in Wilson Crew programs. Our success has enabled us to grow beyond our capacity!
OPPORTUNITY
To achieve our vision, we need to fund diversity scholarships for our student-athletes and upgrade our equipment. Your gift to the Wilson Crew Capital Campaign will allow us to offer partial and full scholarships to 15 students each year. And, while we wish crew required just a pair of running shoes or a swimsuit, it doesn’t. Your gift will enable Wilson Crew to have the same high-quality equipment that private school students in the region enjoy.
DONOR RECOGNITION LEVELS
Any and all size donations accepted and appreciated, and please remember to double check to see if your employer makes matching donations. If you are interested in becoming a Lead Donor ($5,000+), please contact Campaign Co-Chair Laura Wigglesworth at [email redacted]. Lead Donors can give all at once or spread their gifts over 1-3 years. They can also make a family pledge that includes gifts from other family members.
