Vision 2020: From Eyesight To Insight

In the year 2020, we are releasing a documentary film with the working title of "Vision 2020: The Secret To Seeing Clearly".

This film follows two natural vision educators (Barry Auchettl from Australia and Nathan Oxenfeld from America) as they travel the globe to discover the history of holistic vision care, interview the world’s leading experts in the field, hear inspiring success stories and bring natural vision education into clearer focus for a wider audience.

Releasing a documentary about eyesight in the year 2020 is significant because natural vision education is about improving eyesight naturally rather than using of glasses, contact lenses, or undergoing surgery. It also marks the 100th anniversary since the publication of Perfect Sight Without Glasses by Dr. William H. Bates. However, despite the success of the Bates Method of Natural Vision Improvement, it is still not widely recognized.

Since vision deterioration is the world's biggest health epidemic, our mission is to raise awareness about natural vision improvement and its effectiveness. There are natural alternatives to the conventional approach to vision care, and more people deserve to know about them.

Barry Auchettl and Nathan Oxenfeld used natural vision improvement techniques to rid themselves of glasses and achieve clear vision naturally. Now they are teaching others how to improve their vision by using the Bates Method and other holistic approaches.

However, Barry and Nathan are not alone. There is a global network of natural vision educators that Barry and Nathan will introduce you to. Following their journey across North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Europe, you will see how changing your vision can change your life.

The Producers

Barry Auchettl M.Ed. B.Bus, the founder of Eye Power, looks at a wholistic approach to eye health through his use of kinesiology, life vision mentoring and utilization of his 35 years of teaching practices to make vision practices fun to do.

Nathan Oxenfeld, the founder of Integral Eyesight Improvement, combines the Bates Method, yoga, meditation, breath work, emotional work, diet and nutrition and other vision training techniques to explore a more holistic approach to eye health.

The Vision 2020 Process

• The documentary will be targeted at the 60 percent of the population who currently wear corrective lenses. This number increases to 85 per cent of people over 45 years of age.

• Most of the documentary will be shot the USA in July, 2019, but will also feature some interviews in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and more. Funding is required for filming and travel within the USA as most of the vision educators to be interviewed live there. The documentary will include:

o How Barry and Nathan improved their own eyesight

o Interviews with the key Natural Vision Instructors from around the world who have already agreed to being interviewed for the documentary

o Success stories told by people who have improved their eyesight

o Techniques for viewers to look after their own eye health.

o Contact details of the Vision Educators used in the documentary.

• Vision 2020 will be a 50 minute documentary that can be sold to television networks as well as being made available for sale via the internet . The online version of the documentary will include additional footage from the interviews of the twelve Vision Educators interviewed. It is estimated to have a retail value of $14.99. 

The 20/20 Movie Funding Requirements

The funding requirements are divided into two parts.

Stage 1 funding is required immediately, for the shooting of the documentary.

Stage 2 funding will be for postproduction costs.

Further funding may be required for the release of the documentary and a media tour.

Stage 2: Post Production 
Editing: 50 minute film x $200/film minute = $10,000

Total Funding request: $20,000
