California is my home and I wouldn’t have it any other way… but these fires… of course the loss of human life and the destruction of homes is more than tragic, but when you love the other creatures of the earth it gets really scary.
We don’t have a horse trailer and though we have a friendly connection to H. E. E. T. (Horse Evacuation Team/ a wonderful, skillful group of volunteers who help get horses out of all sorts of difficulties..natural disasters, traffic accident, swimming pools, you name it) it is a little nerve wracking when there are fires within 30 miles of a horse barn.
Fire danger is ever present each year, the recent droughts have made us ever more mindful of this.
This is where YOU can help us though! We have applied for grant money lessen the cost burden but still need to raise a bit more for our goal of purchasing a trailer.
You will be helping our four-legged friends at Sky Ranch in a number of ways, whether they need to be transported for medical treatment/evaluation, bringing in new horses to a permanent and safe home, or if the worst happens and our friends need to be evacuated.
Even $10 or $20 goes a long way in helping us reach the goal. Every little bit counts and your support means the world to us and the horses at Sky Ranch, and keeping them safe.
