This morning my son Jalen woke up to hear tragic news from his friend Jackson. His Dad Gary, had passed away during the night from a heart attack.
Unfortunately we personally know how he and his Mum Liz, must be feeling right now. We can't stop thinking about them and what they are going through.
When my husband Aaron passed away from his heart attack, the only thing I thought would help me was for Aaron to come back, but of course that wasn't possible.
But someone we didn't really know made the decision to not just say 'let me know if I can help' but did the one thing they could think of, to help us. She started a fundraising campaign and we were blown away by the love and support from so many people. Many of whom were strangers to us.
That money made it possible for us to grieve without the added stress of how we were going to get through the next little while.
We wish we didn't have to do this for Jackson and Liz, but want them to know that they aren't alone. We want to be able to give them some breathing space to grieve and deal with whatever they need to, without the added stress of worrying about finances right now.
The money raised will be for whatever they need to use it for....food, bills, and funeral costs.
Every little bit makes a huge difference. Even if it's $5 it lets them know that people care. Please donate if you are able to. We know how much it can help at such a shocking and tragic time.
Thank you in advance.
