The Alisal High Wrestling Team is preparing for their 2016-2017 wrestling season in a BIG way. During the last 10 years the Alisal Wrestling program has seen a major resurgence. Our team has grown from 15 student-athletes to over 60-70 competitors participating yearly with a third of that number being GIRLS.
We the Alisal Wrestlers and Coaches are seeking your donation to help purchase two new wrestling mats.
For those of you in the know, 5,000 will not cover the cost of one mat. We are just looking to jump start our campaign.
We've seen and been through it all. In the last ten years we have out grown two rooms, we've called home. We've built our program around one simple idea.
One room, one practice.
Over the years as the team got bigger and bigger that idea got harder and harder to achive. We've seeked out more space on campus. We fought for every square foot we were able to get. Issues would come up and we would be forced to split our time and our team to make practice work. On a personal note, I believe in the one room, one practice, because we create a family and not a team of sub groups.
Our schools adminstration have been great supporters in our cause and have helped us grow. And with great excitement we look to start our 2016-2017 season in a new building, construction is just about wrapped up. But as it turns out our current mat situation just wont work in the new facitity.
With your donation, and through our fundraising efforts we are determined to purchase custom mats that will be cut to size for our new home.
