SeaWorld Camp Fund

If you know me, then you know I am a girl filled with amazing moments by the once in a lifetime opportunities I am given. Everything from traveling to Europe to documenting the Wounded Warriors Project with my journalism class. A new unbelievable opportunity, has arrived on my doorstep, this summer. I have become very good friends with Natalie Craney, a girl who recently joined my journalism class. Natalie goes to SeaWorld Camp every year, but this year she has no one to go with her, so she invited me to tag along!
SeaWorld Camp is located in San Diego, where we will eat, sleep, and breathe Marine Biology for five days. Throughout the week we will get to swim with the dolphins, learn how to surf and paddle board, and of course enjoy all the attractions SeaWorld has to offer! But with all the fun, comes a lot of hard work. Every morning we are required to wake up at six in the morning and start preparing meals for all the animals at SeaWorld such as, killer whales, beluga whales, dolphins, penguins, polar bears, sharks, and stingrays. I will get the opportunity to meet Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and Animal Rescue Teams, and see what their jobs really entail. We may visit research facilities such as Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute where we will learn about laboratory work and meet scientist working on present day marine problems and conservation. Each day of the week is dedicated to a specific area of Marine life: Fish Day, Training Day, Penguin Day, and Mammal Day.
This is where you come in to save the day! My mother said I could only go if I raised part of the money by myself, because I am suppose to be a grown up, or something like that…. June 19 is the day Natalie and I are intending on going, and I have to raise $800 before that date. I know it is a little last minute, but any donation to this incredible opportunity I have would be greatly appreciated! The fund will go towards my tutions into the camp and a plane ticket to San Diego. This camp is a hands-on look of what it is like to have a zoological career, it is an opportunity of a lifetime and I would love to pursue this. I would help me get a better look at a career with animals, and be one step closer to finding out what I want to do with myself after high school! Being able to go to a camp as incredible as this one would mean the world to me! I am determined to experiance as much as I can while I can. Life is too short to not go after what you want.
