24hr Tree Sit July 13th Supporting Special Needs..

This is not some sort of protest against squirrels stealing the peanuts from our bird feeders, or owls terrorising the local vole population. It’s all for charity. Danny is raising funds for a local charitable support group, The Friends of Westfield. They are a parental group supporting Westfield School. This is a Primary age special school which caters for children experiencing difficulties in Communication and Interaction. It is expected that the vast majority of the pupils have a diagnosis of ASD (Autistic Spectrum difficulties) alongside other difficulties such as anxiety, sensory processing, ADHD, (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and dyspraxia, for example. Danny has a 9 year old son who is a pupil at Westfield so Danny is keen to support them and the great work that they do. Visit the school website to learn more about the fantastic work this local special school does for children across the High Wycombe area. http://www.westfieldschoolbucks.org/ This climb is being facilitated by The Wheel, who are lending us their Willow Tree in the car park for the weekend. Huge thanks to Claire and Mark for supporting us. I am sure there will be some sort of celebration at The Wheel to see Danny start his climb. It would be great if we can “send him up” and “see him down” while raising a glass, and chucking a pound or two into the collection pot. Danny will climb at noon on the Saturday and stay up there for 24hrs, before climbing down on the Sunday. I am sure we would all agree that this is no mean feat (some would say an act of madness)... but it’s all in a good cause. It would be great if you could come down and support him. I am sure Mark, Claire, Danny and I would be delighted to see you on what will hopefully be a lovely summer day.
