Cypress Fairbanks Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Hannah Teschler and I am the owner of Mop Mob LLC-a residential cleaning company in Waco, TX. I was recently informed by a teacher in the Houston education system that the families and staff of Cypress Fairbanks ISD are in dire need of help. Many of their campuses are Title 1 schools meaning that much of the population is on the free/reduced lunch program.
Their homes and campuses have been flooded and destroyed by Hurricane Harvey in the past few days. Some homes are in areas which are STILL flooding due to both the "controlled" release of local dams and continued rain and wind. Some of these households were also affected by the 2016 "Tax Day" floods and were just beginning to recover when they were devestated again.
These families are struggling to recover. We want to get the staff and students in their homes and back to school as SOON as possible. One of the best ways to do this is to provide cleaning supplies for the recovery efforts. Trash bags, gloves, clorox, etc. will all be essential in the effort to reclaim their lives! Every penny we receive will be going directly to those in the district whom have been affected.
There are OVER 114,000 students in the afflicted district. This does not count staff OR family members. The devestation has been catastrophic and will take YOUR generosity and support to heal. We want supplies in their hands by Monday of next week. These kids need their homes and schools back.
