Kim Weidner -Fights Breast Cancer
Donation protected
We are asking for help from anyone who has ever had to deal with Breast Cancer in their family and everyone else who hasn't yet. My young 45 year old step-mother just received the unexpected devastating news 2 weeks ago that she has 2 types of breast cancer (the very aggressive kind and the less aggressive kind). The doctors have a feeling it has spread and is in her lymph nodes and possibly other places in her body, but they won't know for sure until they perform the double mastectomy on June 10th. Kim also found out she is a carrier of the hereditary breast cancer gene. Kim has been very sick this past year and a half and has lost so much weight they want her to try to gain 10 pounds before her surgery. The problem with that is she has had major stomach pain to where she can't eat anything without being in horrible pain. She also got a call from the urologist she just saw and they want her to come in because they said she could have bladder cancer!
So sadly her and my father are shocked, terrified and worried about how they will be able to pay for all of these surgeries, chemo/radiation treatments and everything else! They don't have much of a support system, only their 20 year old daughter who goes to school and works full time. Everyone else lives so far away! My dad has been the only one who could work this past year and sadly his insurance only pays 60% of all medical expenses, which means they have to come out of pocket for the other 40%. My dad works hard at a Drug Rehabilitation facility in Wickenberg, but he doesn't make much $ and they are already maxed out and tapped out financially. They need over $8,000 just for her to have her surgery and that doesn't include the chemo and everything else after, plus more surgeries.
I know money is always tight for everyone and it seems like everyone is always raising money for something tragic that has happened, but Our family would be forever grateful to any little donation you feel led to give. We want Kim to have a fair fighting chance to beat this horrible disease and not be taken away at such a young age! Unfortunately money controls our health care system and without it people don't get the treatment and help they deserve as human beings! My God Bless all of you and Prayers are needed as much as the Money! Thank you for reading my long book and helping out our family during this very difficult time.
