Save Manoa Valley
Fifty years ago, the BLNR (Bureau of Land and National Resources) approved a commerical permit for an enterprise in the back of Manoa Valley. The permit was approved in 3 weeks and the hearing for public comment was advertised on Kauai.
Today, 50 years later, the community of Manoa has still not had a legitimate opportunity to give input on the impact of this commercial enterprise before the BLNR board. This opportunity has finally presented itself only because the building permit lapsed and a new hearing had to be scheduled. That hearing is this Friday, May 23 at 9:00am
Save Manoa Valley is a group of concerned citizens that would like to get the word out to as many people as possible. We are canvassing, calling friends, and doing whatever we can to make certain that our community has a chance to comment on this development.
We have 4 days to do this and we would like to get professional signs made, purchase a domain, get handouts printed, and take out social media advertising. If you could contribute whatever you are comfortable towards our cost, we would be greatly appreciative.
