Veteran needs help with his farm
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Robert Ragels. I am a disabled Veteran living in New Braunfels Texas with my wife Claudia and two boys. Some say they suffer with PTSD but I do NOT. I survive with PTSD. I have used our dairy goats as an effective therapy to cope with PTSD and it has brought me great joy.
As many of you know, we have a small dairy goat farm. We make a small amount of cheese and sell it at local farmer's markets. Because of new regulations we can no longer continue to operate as we have been and are at risk of being shut down by the state of Texas. With our 25 goats we fall under the same regulations as a multimillion dollar dairy with thousands of cows. Not one of our goats has a number. They all have names.
We have secured partial funding to build a new dairy barn ,creamery, and all the buildings needed for this but sadly we are about $100,000 short of the funds needed to complete construction. I am NOT the type of person to ask for money in fact I have NEVER asked for money from strangers but I have little choice. I simply cannot borrow enough money to complete this. We plan to sell raw goat milk, cheese, fresh eggs, produce and other farm products from our farm. We hope that the products we offer will fill a void in the community and provide you all with healthy, local, farm fresh products. I ask you humbly to give what you can. No donation is too small. Every penny counts.
Feel free to share this with your friends and family.
Me and my family thank you with all our hearts.
