Help Blanca's cancer recovery
Donation protected
My name is Yaritza Luzuriaga and today I am asking for your help for my mother Blanca Romero who was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer August 2011. She quickly made it to surgery and had a hysterectomy only a few short days after the diagnosis. Following the surgery was six months of chemotherapy (taxol with carboplatin) which was very unforgiving to her resilient body. For the next year and a half we believed we were on the road to recovery when we discovered the development of PPC(primary peritoneal cancer) which formed in her abdomin that we have been battling ever since. The fight became more difficult 2014 when she spent a month hospitalized due to fluid in her peritoneal cavity which requires a nephrostomy tube to be permenantly fixed to her right kidney.
Through all the ups and downs she has remained selfless by putting everyone else's feelings above hers and continuing to be a source of strength for our family. As a testament to that in 2012 my mothers sister was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma and while my mother was sick and in treatment she found a way to drive two hours to take her sister to and from Trinitas hospital in Elizabeth,NJ for her chemotherapy. A year and a half later my aunt lost her battle and my mother promised to watch over her disabled child and today, still battling cancer is doing just that.
We are still fighting the good fight but it has been increasingly difficult to keep pace with the ever mounting medical bills in addition to the cost of everyday living. This sickness has left her unable to work since she is in and out of the hospital and different in treatments. It is bad enough when you're fighting for your life and still have to be stressed over your mortgage, car, utility bills. I would love to give her a peace of mind, knowing that there are great generous people in the world that are willing to help her in this desperate time to give her the strength back that she has given others. I have faith and pray to God that she will one day be cured of this horrible disease but until then please help me help my beautiful Mother. The money will be used for continued treatment with reduced contributions for insurance and to go towards everyday house hold expenses. Thank you so much! Yaritza
