Send Mike to Philly for Hillary!

I feel very honored and privileged to represent Wyoming as a National Delegate for Secretary (not to mention former Senator and First Lady) Hillary Clinton. I was very proud to stand with former Wyoming Secretary of State, Kathy Karpan, to nominate Secretary Clinton to be our next President of the United States of America!

Leading up to the caucuses on April 9th, I was thrilled to meet President Clinton and Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. Both of them spoke about how diversifying Wyoming's economy into cleaner technologies like Wind and Solar could help Wyoming become a leader in the new energy economy. Hillary Clinton supports building our infrastructure to export this clean energy that Wyoming so desperately needs. The only way to prevent the boom and bust cycle that hurts Wyoming's families is to work together to diversify our economy and take advantage of the renewable resources that Wyoming has so much of.

Wyoming IS the Equality State and it's time for true Equality for all Wyomingites including LGBT, women, immigrants and so many others. My husband, Jeran Artery, and I have had the privilege of leading Wyoming Equality, our state's largest LGBT organization. We were instrumental in bringing marriage equality to Wyoming and we continue to fight for non-discrimination and transgender rights on the local and state levels. Additionally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention my unequivocal support for equal pay for equal work. The gender pay cap must be closed and I can think of no better way to do that then to elect our first Female President!

I'm not voting for Hillary because she's a woman (although that's awesome!); I'm voting for her because she's the most qualified person to take the helm on day one. I'm proud to work for the Wyoming Retirement System and take care of our public employee's pensions. I'm a member of the Wyoming Public Employee's Association, I'm the Treasurer of the Laramie County Democrats, and I believe in fighting for public employees. Unions have been the foundation of the Wyoming Democratic Party and we must fight to keep them strong and relevant.

Lastly, I had the distinct privilege of volunteering and working with the Cheyenne for Hillary campaign. I created the Cheyenne for Hillary Facebook page. I had the opportunity to work with the young, dedicated individuals who came to Cheyenne to fight for Hillary in Laramie County and help her win our State's Capitol and most populous county. Meeting President Bill Clinton and Secretary Ken Salazar was absolutely amazing. But the most important moment was when my amazing friends, Jeran Artery, Wendy Soto, Kate Wright and I made dinner and brought it to Kathy Karpan's Law Office to support the tireless efforts of these volunteers. I have never had more joy in my heart:

Nick, my main contact with the Hillary campaign, tweeted:

First Inaugural @HillaryforWY Supper Club! Love these people.
