Beth's Medical Fund

Beth is an amazing person. She has been a middle school teacher in NC for the past 15 years. That alone should win her a medal of honor. Prior to that she was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Lesotho. Beth is also an amazing mama and wife. Her daughter Chloe is one of the cleverest little girls I have ever met. Simon, her husband, while pernickety, is her greatest champion. Any of her friends will attest to her tenacity, her quick wit, her generous spirit, and her courage.

 Beth is going to be undergoing treatment for the next year for an invasive form of stomach cancer. It is rare for a young woman to be dealing with this type of cancer (signet cell carcinoma). However, Beth has a great team of doctors who will help her overcome this challenge.

 While Beth had the foresight to sign up for cancer insurance a few years ago, she is going to have quite a few out of pocket expenses. Beth needs to focus on healing her body and not worrying about her finances. Please consider supporting her with any amount that you can. Your money will go towards the following:

·       Covering missed work days after her sick leave has been used up

·       Transportation to and from treatment

·       Recovery expenses after surgery

·       Childcare for Chloe

·       Missed work for Simon

·       Nutritional needs
