NICK WEAVER BENEFIT FUND
On Saturday, May 21, 2016, Firefighter/EMT Nick Weaver, a career firefighter with Bensalem Township, was off duty volunteering with Nottingham Fire Department when he was seriously injured while battling a house fire. Nick fell approximately 35 feet off of the structure, he suffered numerous fractures in his back and also a head injury. Nick was hospitalized at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and has since been released; however he has a long road to recovery that will be grueling, both emotionally and physically for Nick and his fiancé, Erin.
Nick, a lifelong resident of Bucks County, recently moved to Bensalem Township with his fiancé Erin. They were busy planning their wedding set for early 2017 prior to his fall.
In addition to the physical and emotional toll caused by the accident, Nick and Erin will also face severe financial burdens. With Erin being Nick's primary caregiver and not able to currently work these funds will directly benefit them as living expenses and any unexpected expenses that may occur while Nick is recovering. We, at Bensalem Fire Rescue & Nottingham Fire Department are setting up this GoFundMe account as a way for friends and family to show their love and support for two honest, hardworking and incredible people, who mean everything to us. No donation is too small. Together we can provide tremendous financial relief for Nick and Erin.
We are Bensalem Township Firefighters that are members of Bensalem Fire Rescue and Nottingham Fire Department from Bensalem, PA. Nick Weaver is our coworker and friend. He is a career fire fighter with Bensalem Township Fire Rescue, a member of Bensalem Township Career Firefighters Association Local 4837 and is also a member of the Nottingham Fire Department. Nick will be receiving the funds directly.
