I have been selected to compete for the title of Miss District of Columbia USA 2017. The pageant will be held December 17th. It's always been a dream of mine to grace the Miss USA stage. I am beyond excited and thrilled to have the opportunity. Competing in pageants have taught me how to speak up for myself, gain confidence, and many more life lessons that I will take on in the future. To win the title of Miss District of Columbia USA is not only an honor but it is a privilege to represent our Nation’s Capital. My gratitude to help others and make a difference in our community is rewarding. To be Miss District of Columbia, I will have the chance to give back on a bigger level than what I am already doing.
