The Lewis family recently received news that nobody ever wants to hear… Chrislyn has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Below are some details written by Chrislyn on what her and her family are going through. Let's show them some financial support so Chrislyn can focus on the difficult task of months of physical and mental recovery without the added stress of how they will pay the bills. On Thursday April 28, 2016, I went for my very first Mammogram. The last thing in the world I ever expected was to be told on May 18, 2016 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
As anyone could imagine the world has changed not just for me, but for my family and friends. I am married to my husband Josh, a Police Detective who works for an inner city department to protect children from sexual exploitation. We have a 21 year old son Corey, who is an active member of the USAF and deployed overseas. Our daughter Ava is 8 years old and excited to start 4th grade in the fall.
I work for a commission based business, so as we know most families today rely on two incomes.
Knowing my surgery is quickly approaching, I know despite all the love and support from family and friends we, as a family are fearful of the financial obstacles ahead. Being unable to work post surgery, we are praying any contribution made can assist my family with the impending medical cost and loss of my income. I know that everything is in God’s hands and everyone’s prayers are so heartwarming and cherished.
Please know any contribution will help remove the financial burden and stress facing our family in the coming months while I face surgery and recovery. We know there is a difficult road ahead for us but we will be victorious and not let Cancer beat our family. Thank you so much everyone!!
