Denise Warner's Medical Fund

Anyone who knows Denise Warner knows what an incredible person she is: kind-hearted, hard-working, optimistic, and loving are just a few words to describe her. Unfortunately, as these things often go, Denise has been facing an uphill battle with her health the past few years. Beginning with a diagnosis of cervical cancer in 2014, which she bravely battled (undergoing treatment and a full hysterectomy), she then received another cancer diagnosis in 2015; this time, it was breast cancer. That diagnosis led to a double mastectomy, and Denise has spent 2016 having multiple reconstructive surgeries. As if that all weren’t enough, in May of this year, Denise had to have emergency gallbladder surgery, followed by another emergency surgery in June for an infection that had begun raging through her system. Due to the infection, doctors decided they needed to remove one of Denise’s implants, and she is now facing several more surgeries in the coming months and next year!
Denise is officially out of sick time at her job (where she works as a teacher’s aide to a boy with special needs). As a result, the consequence is that when she has been able to return to work she does so without pay in order to pay back missed time and prior health insurance. She now has to pay all of her health insurance costs, along with any other medical costs out of her own pocket.
While all of this was going on, Denise was dealt another blow when her mother suddenly passed away in March.
It is our hope that we will raise enough money to help Denise and her family pay for her much-needed medical care, from surgeries to cancer treatments.
