Hi - I'm Jamie, a disabled vet with over 26 years of service in the Army National Guard. I have been volunteering my efforts to provide grass-roots support for Senator Bernie Sanders.
I was honored by being selected by the Sanders campaign to give an opening speech at a rally in Bismarck, ND (video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc7cUsauBuI)
ND Democrats selected me to represent them in Philly at the DNC (24 July - 29 July). I am honored to be selected and will use all of my efforts to promote Bernie's campaign agenda. I could use your help in getting me to Philly.
As a disabled vet, with a chronic illness I believe that universal healthcare needs to be a reality. Every year I spend 20% of my income on medical needs. Imagine how much our lives would be improved if the spectre of health care wasn't looming over our shoulder. No longer would families go into financial ruin if a medical crisis happened in their lives. Senior citizens would no longer need to decide between buying groceries or needed prescriptions.
Bernie Sanders has woke a spirit in me that I thought I lost years ago. His message is one of hope, and I again have hope.
