Get Kelsey to Philly for Bernie!

Hi all.

I want to be straight with you, and I want to let you know that I appreciate you even taking the time to read my campaign for donations.

Here goes:

I previously had many words written about how inspired I had been this past year for the first non corrupt politician to run, Bernie Sanders, but I have condensed this for better readability. I am still inspired by what he represents. I am proud of his grass roots mentality to start this revolution, and make it thrive as it has on a national scale. This was historic.

I went to his rally here in Fargo, spent countless hours campaigning for Bernie online, to friends and family, and even got some Feel the Bern swag to help get the word out.

He is a genuine, honest, caring human being. He cares for the people, ALL of them. He cares for your right to be equal, no matter your color, ethnicity, creed, religion, orientation. He cares that you have the right to choose as a woman. He cares that your families have access to basic needs like clean water and healthcare (even though I cannot think of more than a handful of congress members that feel that way, based on their voting records). He cares. It is plain to see, and his voting records prove this time and again.

The most hateful, bigoted, racist, xenophobic demagogue of a man will be on the opposite end of the ticket, and must be defeated at all costs.

We are supporting Sanders to fight tooth and nail for justice for ALL, at the convention. We have booked our non-refundable plane tickets. We have booked our expensive hotel rooms, and we mean business. We can't do it without you!

Fast forward to 7/12/16:
So THAT was surreal. Just got off a 45 minute conference call with Senator Bernie Sanders, where he spoke to us delegates going to Philly.

Despite how utterly disappointed I still am regarding the endorsement today, as it took some oompf out of our momentum, I am happy to report one big takeaway: he has NOT suspended his campaign, and he is still a candidate. That means his delegates will not be given freely to the other camp. We will get to vote still, regardless of the impending outcome. Also, we have people on the rules committee that will have a voice to talk about doing away with superdelegates. Reality: even with allll the election issues this season, the real delegate count was just about 300 less than HRC.

I am relieved to hear FROM SANDERS HIMSELF, that he is still taking this to convention, he will still fight to get progressives elected at local, state, and federal levels, he will still fight to overhaul the ridiculous rules currently in place (especially closed primaries), and he will continue our platform campaign even despite not getting the nomination.

I really hate to even ask, but it still remains a fact that we have to pay our own way. Being elected was an absolute privilege, but this is for sure an expensive one.

We delegates and alternates need you, as Bernie needs us in Philly no matter what.

If you could find it in your heart to still support me, I will be going to Philly to be a voice of change, and a voice of progressive politics and revolution. Any and every dime will be so very appreciated.
