My name is Beth Landry, and I am a District-Level Delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. I am from Maryland's 6th Congressional District committed to Sen. Bernie Sanders! By trade, I am a perioperative Registered Nurse, as well as a labor activist and patient advocate currently attending grad school for my Master of Science in Nursing.
Bernie Sanders is my hero for the issues important to me, like Medicare for All, expanding social security and taking better care of our veterans. It is a telling time when a family member has to rely on Wounded Warriors for help when our own VA has trouble managing their quality of life, or when insured people go bankrupt from skyrocketing medical expenses! Getting progressive issues addressed at this year's convention is a must!
The costs of the upcoming DNC are very expensive, between our hotels we are recommended to stay at, registration fees, transportation to Philadelphia and so on. Fortunately, I will not need to purchase a plane ticket among these finances as it is a 3 hour drive. I will arrive in Philadelphia July 24th and stay until July 29th, so I hope to raise some money to help ease the financial burden before then!
Please help fund me to the DNC for Bernie Sanders! I would be ecstatic at anything whatsoever and it would mean the world to me and any other delegates who are also fundraising themselves to pay these costs!
