Help us continue to be the change! Changemaker High School is the only school in Arizona that has been selected to present at the International Social Innovation Research Conference at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland to talk about how we are transforming classrooms to bring communities together!
Imagine what our neighborhoods would look like if each school encouraged their students to use their superpower to make an impact in their own community! That is our mission exactly, to develop student leaders who turn ideas into action. We believe that math, reading, and writing are just as important as creating positive social change, and what better than doing this at the place where students spend most of their day?
Our goal now, is to share our story! We have found a way to create young Changemakers in grades 9-12 that learn how to make a difference locally, nationally, or internationally. Our campus uses empathy, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership to make this possible! Students identify a social problem that they want to solve and find solutions based on their own talents. Students are then trained on ways to present their social ventures to other community members and also find ways to capture funding to turn their ideas into reality! Students get to practice the skills that college recruiters and 21st century employers are looking for.
CMHS students also learn how to share our education model with other middle school students in Tucson, so that they too can learn how to become Changemakers! Our world can be a better place if all schools create more Changemakers! Your donation will allow us to share our success with other people all over the world so that they too, can create more Changemakers, while preparing them for the real world!
