For our friend John Wienges

Our friend John Wienges lost his house in the flood that has submerged entire neighborhoods in Columbia and across the state. His house filled with 3 feet of water and he lost a lot of his belongings. He's also the last person that likes attention drawn to himself, and he's one of the kindest, most generous people I've ever met -- but he lost a lot in this flood, and I wanted to provide a way for all of us as his friends to help him rebuild and replace what was lost. I know he'd do that for any of us. After all, he's the kind of guy who rescues others right after he gets to safety himself.

The goal I chose was arbitrary...give whatever you can. I wanted to at least provide an outlet to do something to help him replace clothes, furniture, electronics, or anything else lost. Other than GoFundMe's fees, 100% of the proceeds go to John to help him pick up the pieces.
